Obviously our kitchen is far from being done. For Mother's Day I got the tile to do my countertops and so here is a preview of what they will look like. The blue cabinets are finished and even though I was a little skeptical at first, I have to say I love them! Here is a pic of the tile...

Our plan is put 4ft tall white beadboard in the kitchen, install a white sink and replace the faucet with an oil rubbed bronze one. Eventually install a french door into the backyard, replace all the appliances with new white ones and install a door on the pantry. Also, eventually lay some laminate wood floors like we had in our last house. The floors we used in our last house was the Swiftlock Plus handscraped hickory. The reason I mention this is because they are the easiest and prettiest floors to maintain. They look the closest to wood floors that I have seen in a laminate because they are handscraped for texture and you dont have to use special cleaners on them. Plus, you CAN'T damage them, trust me we tried! J.R. had dropped a saw from 12 feet high on them in our last house and it didn't even scratch them, Jayden dumped a gallon of paint on them and we used paint thinner to remove it and it didnt even phase them.
