This past Monday I went back to work! I am the new Patient Care Representative at OU Internal Medicine Clinic. Sounds important right? Lol I really am just a secretary :) I am very blessed to have found a job with REALLY good pay, amazing benefits, and HELLO paid holidays! My last job I worked almost every holiday and it SUCKED! My family is always together for every holiday, and even though I willingly worked every weekend for OSU they still made me work every holiday too, which meant I NEVER got to go to any of our family events. I am also off every weekend too, which means whenever Jayden starts sports (which is really soon) I will not have to worry about ever missing a game. The only downfall is having to pay for a babysitter, because I work 8 to 5. Our new babysitter is very sweet and I really am looking forward to developing a relationship with her, but at the same time I really am sad I will be missing out on a lot with the boys.
So, this past week has gone really good. I am learning fast and even though I was intimidated at first, I am seeing it's really not all that hard and the people are so much fun. Unfortunately though, Thursday morning I broke my foot; making me late for work and then Friday I missed work because I was in so much pain. Luckily, it was either a bruised bone or hairline fracture and once the swelling went down I am feeling A LOT better. I REALLY hated missing on my first week, but sometimes things are just out of your control and I had to continually remind myself that this Friday.
The best part of this is, we will be able to move to a nicer bigger home once Jayden is out of school. I would gladly move now, but we are trying to find some sort of stability here for the kids. All of this moving has been a strain for all of us. Even though it was necessary the boys don't understand and it doesn't make it any less stressful. We are still indecisive as to where we want to live. We are being very picky this time because for one we can and for two wherever we choose we plan on buying there eventually and want to keep the kids in the same schools. We love Sapulpa but the rental market is few and far between here. We will see come May we still have plenty of time to worry about that. Also, JR's friend from work also works at Riverside Chevrolet and he told us he could get us into a brand new car for as much as we are paying for the Hyuandai (03 Hyundai Santa Fe, that we had to get from one of those bad credit lots with ridiculously high payments and payoff prices) even though we have horrible credit, past repo, owe way too much on our car, and have no money for a down payment. This came as exciting news as the Hyundai is already giving us problems. Im not so sure this will work out but if it does then it will definitely be a blessing for us. We also will be able to buy JR a truck once we get our taxes back so that makes me happy :)
We have been continually blessed with amazing news this past month and I am excited about the things that are to come. We have suffered grief after grief for the past couple of years and though I try not to get my hopes up I really think it's all about to turn around. Whoever reads this please to continue to pray for our family as we still have several hurdles to overcome. God bless you all and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas. I will post photo updates of our Christmas as soon as it's over :)
